Friends of the New Castle Public Library
The Friends of the New Castle Public Library is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the library. Membership has grown over the years as more people learn about the activities and achievements of the Friends. New members are always welcome. Dues are tax-deductible.

The Friends of the Library was organized in 1992 through the efforts of Margaret Bidinotto, Jeen Nunn, Ginny Collbridge, Muriel French, and Jody Whitman. Current officers are: President, Beth Kelm; Vice-President, Beverly Gocal; Corresponding Secretary, Evelyn Marburger; Recording Secretary, Marianne Hooker; Treasurer, Vicki Francis.
Meetings are held at the library on the 2nd Monday of each month at 1 pm.
Join some of the Friends for sewing and quilting in the Copernicus Room on the first floor. Every skill level is welcome. A new technique will be discussed at each meeting. Bring your ideas.

The Book Cellar offers a wide selection of gently used books at a price everyone can afford. Looking for a last minute gift? The Book Cellar also carries a selection of gift items suitable for all ages.
Friends members volunteer their time to operate and staff the Book Cellar. All proceeds are used to support and expand the services and resources at the New Castle Public Library.
Hours are Thursday, 9 am - 4:30 pm, Friday, 9 am - 4:30 pm, and Saturday, 9 am - 1 pm. Visit us downstairs in the basement to see what we have to offer!
