Evening Book Club
Join us for a new and revised book club on the first Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m (except for July). This evening book club will focus on one book per month. See dates and list of books.
NCPL Book Talk
NCPL Book Talk normally meets the first Monday of each month, except for select months, at 9:30 a.m. in the Copernicus Room on the first floor of the library. Dr. Alison McNeal, retired Slippery Rock University English professor, is the discussion leader. Call 724-658-6659 ext. 109 to register or for more information. Participation is free of charge. Library Stitchers
Join the Library Stitchers for sewing and quilting in the Copernicus room on the first floor. Every skill level is welcome. A new technique will be discussed at each meeting. Bring your ideas! Meetings are held the first and third Friday of the month, except for December, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Fandoms 18+ Anime Club for Adults
Join other like-minded adult fans of anime from 5:30 to 8 p.m. the first Monday of each month in the Copernicus Room.

What will we answer?
The reference librarians are here to assist you with your reference and resource requests! We will answer questions that require a moderate amount of research, covering a variety of topics including historical research, schoolwork, reader’s advisory, consumer and health information, job search resources, and general questions. All requests will be answered to the best of the staff’s ability as quickly as possible.

Exam Proctoring
The Help Desk at New Castle Public Library will proctor exams for students, depending on the availability of the department.
Please call the Help Desk at 724-658-6659 ext. 108 or 109 to schedule a time to take the exam. Proctor exams and information/instructions can be emailed to reference@ncdlc.org, or can be faxed to the attention of the Help Desk at 724-658-9012.
There is a $15 charge for proctoring exams, regardless of length. The student must pay prior to taking the exam, and can pay in cash or a check made out to New Castle Public Library.
