1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
The New Castle Public Library is pleased to offer an easy, fun, and free program that puts children on the path to success. And yes, you can read 1,000 books. If you read just three books a day, you’ll reach your goal within one year. But even if you read just one book per day, you’ll reach the goal of 1,000 books in three years.

Family Place Library
New Castle Public Library is a proud participant in the nationwide network of Family Place Libraries™.
Teacher Resources
If you are an educator or librarian, we have a selection of kits, including the One Book, Every Young Child, Traveling Trunks from 2006-2015, several STEM science kits, and various robotics/engineering educational toys. Our Family Place collection also has some educational toys for younger children which are available for educators and librarians.
