The impact the community has made in one year alone is outstanding and we are excited to once again celebrate you! As the library moves forward, we wish to keep our community informed of the next steps and processes in the renovations. 

You are being invited to the Grand Opening of the elevator and the 2nd floor which is scheduled for Friday, September 13, 2024. The children’s event will occur from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. We are excited to hear their sweet laughter return to its home on the second floor. There will be an adults-only event from 6:00 to 7:30 PM that evening for which all attendees must be over the age of 21. Please know that there is no cost to attend the children’s or adult’s grand opening events.

At the celebration we will be revealing our 2024-25 campaign, Inspire. The library is a crucial resource for the youth and the future of our community. This year, we have a fundraising goal of $100,000 as we re-imagine our Youth Services Department. 

Please know that there will be opportunities to give throughout the evening as the vision of the Youth Services Department at the New Castle Public Library gets closer to being fulfilled.
