Olympics Movie and Celebration
Join us in celebrating the centennial anniversary of the 1924 Paris Olympics with four-time Emmy award winner depicting self-sacrifice and moral courage!
In the class-obsessed and religiously divided United Kingdom of the early 1920s, two determined young runners train for the 1924 Paris Olympics. Harold Abrahams runs to overcome anti-Semitism and class bias, becoming an Olympic gold medalist. Eric Liddell, a devout Christian born to Scottish missionaries to China, runs for the glory of God, refusing to compromise his religious convictions in pursuit of national athletic pride.
There will be themed snacks, crafts for the kids, and a group discussion after the movie.
